That's why I don't buy them. I was only speaking of the face value. This was tongue in cheek. As I said, I don't use 'em.

I got four of the 2003 liberty dollars from the generic silver bucket at my coin shop a couple months ago. Really a pretty coin. (especially when bought at .50 over spot.)

Just goes to show that even though we like to think of ourselves as different from the elite, when push comes to shove, we're actually no different. Even Liberty dollars will inflate, and even their owners want to make some cash

That guy is dam hack.............I really dont like him.......he has a oily presence.

he is so quick to to hand that silver begging bowl around.

I think is he contructed opposition or something.......... I remeber when the raid first happen. Not to long there after he got a spot on Krudlow(first time speaking since the raid) You would think that he would have spitting pure fire about theft an invasion of private property.

No, no no. this guy was all "giggles and smiles" Yeah larry I am just wating for them to arrest me blah , blah, blah ............ I was like WTF??? he was acting more like he got busted smoking pot in his car.

Nah.......... he reeks of something fishy......... leave him and his overpriced silver scam be.

Recently the GOVT. AGENTS confiscated the whole LOT.

Might have a collectors value now as I FIGURE the owners will never get back their supposed millions of ounces.

These LD coins are also quite expensive at Apmex; 25-35 bucks.

I'm not sure why though...I too have bought them from my local guy just mixed into his stuff at spot +1$ ($17.65=less than face value of $20). Would have dug deeper and taken them all if I had known.

Never checked real value on ebay...but I will.

To their credit though, they are absolutely the brightest and shiniest mirror finished rounds I have. Blindingly bright actually.

@History Student: I also am in doubt that I will ever see my 5 Ron Paul rounds which were also taken along with other good people's property in that blatantly opportunistic raid.
